Weber® Smokey Mountain Cooker 47cm

If you are looking for tender meat, falling off the bone, then the Smokey Mountain (47cm) is an ideal way to get into smoke cooking your own food. 

The distinctive bullet shaped Smokey Mountain has two triple-coated cooking grates, with easy access to them through a lift off weather-roof aluminium door on the side of the smoker.

Four rust-resistant aluminium dampers help control airflow within the cooking chamber and a built-in lid thermometer helps you monitor the cooking temperature. The glass-reinforced nylon lid handle protects your hand from the heat.  Hillmount stock a range of tools and accessories to help with cooking.

Below the base of the smoker is an aluminium heat deflector, located between the three legs, which helps maintain the temperatures inside the smoker along with reducing the likelihood of burning or scorching to the surface on which the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker 57cm is stood. Also in the base of the Smokey Mountain sits a water bowl which adds moisture to the cooking space. This produces the flavours by infusing food with flavour and keeping it moist during the low and slow cooking process. Try adding flavoured wood chunks or chips to add variety to your meals.

In the  bottom of the cooking chamber you will also find a heavy-gauge steel charcoal grate, This holds hot burning briquettes without warping. Its bars are close enough together to keep even diminishing coals from falling through.  Briquette charcoal should be used with the Smokey Mountain cooker as Weber do not recommended that lumpwood is used.
