Hillmount Belfast
Established in 1940 by Hill and Lily Mercer, Hillmount began as a small grocery store and market garden on the Upper Braniel Road in Gilnahirk, East Belfast. Following the post-war shift in demand, the family transitioned entirely into horticulture and plant retail.
Our Gardeners Rest Cafe is the perfect place to meet for a catchup with friends. You could enjoy a cuppa with one of our homemade scones, or desserts. For lunch we serve a range of hot dinners like our delicious roast beef or stuffed chicken. For something lighter we also have a selection of sandwiches, toasties and paninis. Kids meals are also available.
Needing to buy a gift for someone we have you covered. From candles and diffusers to slippers and scarves, jewellery to jigsaws, knitting and craft essentials to kitchen utensils and glassware, there is so much to choose from. We even have the cards and giftbags too.
You will also find a great selection of clothing at Hillmount , from brands such as Regatta, Klass, Tigi Viz-a-Viz and Joules.
We stock a range of children's toys for the little ones, from Playmobil to TY teddies. Then there is Jelly Cat and a selection of baby blankets perfect for New Baby Gifts.

For the Gardeners we have a huge range of outdoor and indoor plants, a wide selection of pots in all sizes and shapes for indoor or outdoor including Heritage Ceramic pots and Capi versatile pots. You will also find tools from 'Wolf Garten' and 'Kent and Stowe'. Along with all the basic necessities required to look after your gardens.
Throughout the store you will see our top brand furniture from Kettler, Supremo and Alexander Rose on display. With a range of Lounge Sets, Dining Sets and Benches for all sizes of gardens.
We are proud to be a Weber World Store, stocking a huge range of Weber BBQs and accessories.
Charcoal or Gas... we have several on display for you to choose from and our members of staff are on hand if you need any advice.
